Distribution: Occurring in scattered locations on both sides of the Cascades crest in Washington; British Columbia to Nevada, east to the Rocky Mountains.

Habitat: Roadsides, fields, wastelots, and other distrubed areas at low elevations.

Highly aromatic, branching perennial, 2-8 dm. tall, covered with fine, white-woolly hairs.

Leaves yellow-green, once or twice pinnate, the segments broad.

Heads in few-flowered umbels at the ends of the branches; disk 10-25 mm. wide; ray flowers white, occasionally wanting, 4-10 mm. long and nearly as wide; disk flowers numerous, yellow.
