Distribution: Occurring on both sides of the Cascades crest in Washington; British Columbia to Washington, Idaho, Nevada, and Arizona, east to the Rocky Mountains, and Canadian Great Plains.

Habitat: Dry to moist areas in meadows and riparian areas, from low to middle elevations.

Flowers: July-September

Origin: Native

Growth Duration: Perennial

Conservation Status: Not of concern
