Low, slender annual.
Leaves opposite, sessile, narrowly oblong, entire or with slender pinnate lobes.
Heads radiate, the rays yellow, short, pistillate and fertile; involucre of a few separate, equal, herbaceous bracts; disk flowers yellow, perfect and fertile; pappus of 3-7 awns and as many alternating, divided scales; receptacle naked.
