Substrate: Wood, primarily twigs and smaller branches or stems of hardwood trees and shrubs.

Resupinate or effuse-reflexed, with narrow caps when growing on vertical substrates. Caps when present are leathery and zonate in shades of brown. Hymenium in shades of dark brown, often tobacco- or coffee- colored, and irregularly lumpy. No pores.
