Distribution: Occurring east of the Cascades crest in Washington; British Columbia to Washington.

Habitat: Dry scabland, forest openings, talus slopes and alpine meadows.

Flowers: April-July

Description:
General:

Short-lived perennial, the stems several, simple to freely branched, 2-5 dm. tall, grayish with fine stellate pubescence.

Leaves:

Basal leaves oblanceolate, slender-petiolate, up to 10 cm. long and 2 cm. wide; cauline leaves gradually reduced upward, mostly entire, the upper sessile.

Flowers:

Flowers in open, elongate racemes; pedicles slender, ascending, 8-20 mm. long; sepals 4, the outer saccate at base; petals 4, white or pinkish-veined, 4-7 mm. long, spatulate; style 0.5 mm. long.

Fruits:

Siliques ascending-erect, 1-2.2 cm. long, 1-1.3 mm. broad, somewhat compressed; seeds in one series.
