Distribution: Occurring west of the Cascades crest in Washington; British Columbia to California.

Habitat: Moist woods, sea level to moderate elevations in the mountains.

Flowers many in terminal, somewhat flat-topped inflorescences; pedicels glabrous; calyx minute; corolla united, narrowly bell-shaped, 2.5-4 cm. long, pale pink to deep rose-purplish, deeply 5-lobed, the lobes spreading, wavy; stamens 10, unequal, the longer ones exerted, filaments sparsely short-hairy on the lower half; ovary superior, hairy.
