The fruitbodies can consist of flat patches, but more often form overlapping, fused, undulating to irregular caps. The consistency is soft, elastic, and gelatinous when fresh. The cap is white to yellowish or pinkish, hairy to tomentose, and typically has a white to translucent edge. The undersurface is yellow, orange, or salmon pink and composed of folds and ridges that form net-like shallow pores, often in radial rows.
