Distribution: Occurring on both sides of the Cascades crest in Washington; Alaska to Oregon, east to Montana, also in the Great Lakes region and eastern Canada.

Habitat: Montane meadows, alpine to subalpine slopes, aspen woods, moist forests, and stream- and riverbanks.

Flowers: May-August

Origin: Native

Growth Duration: Perennial
