Low perennials, the stems floating or creeping, with well-developed internodes, rooting at the nodes.
Petioles elongate, weak, 0.5-3.5 dm. long; leaf blades rotund-reniform, with an evident basal sinus, 1-6 cm. wide, 5- or 6-lobed to about the middle, the lobes with a few broad teeth.
Inflorescence a simple umbel, 5-10 flowered, the pedicels 1-3 mm. long; peduncles axillary, much shorter than the petioles, 1-5 cm. long, recurved in fruit; petals 5, greenish-white.
Fruit sub-orbicular, 1-3 mm. long and 2-3 mm. wide, the dorsal surface rounded, the ribs obsolete.
