Annual, occasionally biennial; stems 1-6 dm, decumbent or ascending, covered with short hairs.

Leaves pinnately compound, basal leaves 5-15 cm long, oblong to obovate in outline, sparsely hairy with short appressed hairs on veins, petiole shorter than blade; leaflets 11-15, lobed or slightly divided.

Inflorescence umbellate, 3-8 flowered; flowers radial; sepals roughly 2/3 of petal length, glabrous tips; petals 10-15 mm, light pink to light purplish pink; stamens 5.

Mericarps, 4-6 mm, glandular, covered with rounded pits, subtended by up to 2 glandular ridges, on twisted stylar column segments 2-4 cm.
