Spreading to erect, freely-branched annual, 2-5 dm. tall, with some mealy coating, especially in the inflorescence.
Leaves alternate, numerous, the blade deltoid to rhombic, 2-6 cm. long, rounded to acute at the tip, wedge-shaped to truncate at the base, irregularly wavy-dentate with 5-many teeth per side, green above and grayish beneath, the leaves only slightly reduced upward, narrowed abruptly to the slender petiole which is slightly shorter than the blade.
Flowers sessile and single to glomerate in axillary and terminal panicles; perianth deeply 5-lobed, the segments oblong, rounded, not strongly keeled; stamens 5, opposite the perianth lobes; styles 2.
