Distribution: Occurring east of the Cascades crest in northeastern Washington; Alaska to northeastern Washington, east to Northwest Territory and south through Montana to Colorado, further eastward to the Atlantic Coast. Uncommon in the Pacific Northwest.

Habitat: Open or riparian forest, swamps, cliffs, damp thickets, and mesic meadow edges.

Flowers: May-July

Origin: Native

Conservation Status: Not of concern
