Soft, white fruitbody, often with shallow circular depressions on surface of cap. Effuse-reflexed or shelf-like, sometimes with short lateral stem. Dries to pale brown. Circular depressions may be filled with liquid when fresh. Pores very small, circular to angular, may have a slight greenish cast when fresh but dry to pale brown like the rest of the fruitbody. Bitter taste. Brown cubical rot on conifers, or brown butt rot on Picea.
