Hairy perigyna, basal spikelets present, many leaves falcate, stiff, some prev. years dried leaves breaking into fibers, most plants with inflorescence bract < inflorescence, though a few plants were >= inflorescence, female scale short awned, green with reddish borders. 48.116798, -123.593803
