Original identification: Erythranthe patula
Current identification: Erythranthe breviflora
Photographer: Mark Egger
Date Photographed: June 30, 2013
Location: U.S.A., Idaho, Nez Perce County: SE Lake Waha.
Elevation: [not provided]
Coordinates: [not provided]
Comments: It is a very localized species confined to seepy ground of a fine, gravelly substrate. Evidently, these plants had bloomed once, earlier in the year, then had begun to bloom again, in response to a rather unusual week of rain earlier in the month of June. In this set you can see both young, flowering plants and mature plants with developing seed pods.
