Publication: Syst. Nat. (ed. 10) 855. 1759.
Origin: Native
selected vouchers: WTU
Notes: FNA25: "Paspalum distichum grows on the edges of lakes, ponds, rice fields, and wet roadside ditches. It is native in warm regions throughout the world, being most abundant in humid areas. In the Western Hemisphere, it grows from the United States to Argentina and Chile."
We decide to consider P. distichum introduced in Washington due to the few collections that have been made over the years and its occurrence in human-disturbed localities.
