Symphoricarpos albus (L.) S.F. Blake var. albus[HC, HC2]
common snowberry

Publication: Rhodora 16(187): 118. 1914.

Origin: Native

Herbarium search: CPNWH

Notes: There has been some discussion about this taxon being introduced from east of the Rocky Mountains. Fieldwork in Skamania County over the years suggests that this is not accurate due to the existence of large stands of this taxon in relatively undisturbed forest openings and edge. Where encountered, the upright and larger-fruited var. laevigatus is not encountered.
