Notes: FNA19: "Echinops sphaerocephalus is sometimes cultivated, and sometimes it escapes from cultivation."
This species is known in Washington from two specimens, one of which appears to be from a cultivated site. Additional specimens documenting the occurrence of this species in the flora are needed to consider it established.
