Origin: Native in interior Washington, introduced along the coast.

Notes: This species is primarily distributed east of the Mississippi River, from Minnesota to Newfoundland, south to Tennessee. Disjunct populations are known from interior and coastal western North America. The coastal populations are typically associated with cranberry cultivation.
